Emergency Response Procedures
The actual responses to specific emergencies are part of the emergency plan document. Each response needs to be considered in relation to the features of the facility, the communication equipment, the assembly areas available and the roles of the Emergency Control Organisation team.
The risk analysis performed by the Emergency Planning Committee determines the risks applicable to the facility. The alternate responses are then detailed within the emergency plan.
Compliance Emergency Planning develops emergency response procedures within the emergency plan in consultation with the Emergency Planning Committee to ensure a pragmatic response, while still conforming the requirements of the Standard. This approach ensures those in charge of the facility have fulfilled their duty of care and legal obligations while providing the Emergency Control Organisation with effective guidelines to respond in an emergency.
This is an essential component of complying with AS3745.
For a complete list of required components go to Compliance Emergency Planning Package.
The emergency response procedures are contained in the emergency plan.
